It has been a very busy January which started with catering for the Narooma Cup and was followed later in the month by the Moruya Cup. Both events are major money raisers for the Club and I sincerely thank all members that we involved with the catering effort.
At Moruya Cup we had a major presentation that was manned all day by Rotarians explaining to the public the purpose of the Shelter Box program and accepting donations. It was a most worthwhile exercise and certainly raised awareness for Shelter Box and we collected much needed funds to go towards the next Shelter Box kit.
It is Youth Exchange time with students coming and going to all corners of the Globe. Pauline & I were lucky enough to have Tom Pavlou and Nitida Atkinson together for lunch during the week. Tom returned from Austria on Sunday 17th January and Nitida heads off to Austria on Friday 22nd this week. It was a great opportunity for Tom to recount many experiences and to provide a little guidance to Nitida.
